The brief for this particular scheme was to enhance to value of the existing two storey property, by creating a quality residential environment. This was achieved by increasing the density of development, by exploiting the full potential of this large mature site.

After successful discussions with DoE Planning Service, consent was granted for an apartment block comprising of 3No. 2Bed & 2No. 1Bed units, each with dedicated in-curtilage parking and generous private communal amenity space.

Specific issues overcome on this application, included traffic speed analysis, delivery vehicle auto-tracking analysis, incorporation of SUDS (Sustainable urban drainage system), and the careful design of the block, in order to visually integrate the proposal within the immediate context of large single detached dwellings.
